WHAT IS MY LOGIN FOR THE BSL ONBOARDING & SELF SERVICE PORTAL

The default login for ALL team members is your email address (not staff number). You may use the same password you created to sign your contract but your password must be set using the links below.

If you need to set your password for the fist time or have forgotten your password,
once at the login screen use the “forgot password” link to reset/create your password

I FORGOT THE PASSWORD TO MY BSL ONBOARDING & SELF SERVICE PORTAL ACCOUNT. HOW CAN I RESET IT?

On the login page there is a “forgot password” link.  Without entering any other information first, click that link and enter your login (email address). An email with a link to reset your password will be sent to you.

HOW DO I SET UP A TAX FILE NUMBER?

To be eligible to work in Australia, you will need to obtain a Tax File Number.

Australian citizens must apply in person at designated locations. For more information on how to apply (Australian citizens or permanent residents), go the ATO website

AM I A RESIDENT FOR TAX PURPOSES?

If you are a temporary resident in Australia, the Australian Tax Office (ATO) uses several criteria to determine your residency for tax purposes.  The best way to determine how to answer this question is to use the online tool provided by the ATO below.

HOW DO I SET UP A SUPERANNUATION ACCOUNT?

Superannuation is compulsory and required to be paid by law in Australia. It is a retirement program whereby employers pay an additional amount based on a proportion of a team members salary or wages (currently 9.5%) into a complying superannuation fund.

BSL’s chosen Superannuation fund is HostPlus. Please click here to find more information on how to set up an account.

AS A TEMPORARY RESIDENT, HOW DO I CLAIM MY SUPER $ BACK?

Internationals! Did you know?!?!?

As a temporary resident you are not able to retire here and when you leave Australia permanently you can take the money in your super account with you.
If you have less than AUD $5000 it’s simple, just apply online via the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website.
If you have more than AUD $5000 you will need to download and complete the “Certification of Immigration Status-1194” form. You can find information and the Host Plus application in the Host plus Departing Australia Superannuation Payment application guide.
The last super contribution for season 2019 will be processed by the end of October.
You can only apply for your super once you have left Australia!

Another important note!
If you don’t claim your money within six months of departing Australia, your account balance will be paid to the ATO and you will no longer have the benefits of your chosen super fund.
You can however still claim your money back via the ATO. Contact your Superfund for further details.

DO I REQUIRE AMBULANCE INSURANCE?

Though it is not required, we strongly recommend that all BSL employees sign up for Ambulance insurance to avoid excessive costs in the case of an accident.

In the event of an accident, the minimum cost for ambulance transport from the Mt Buller Medical Centre to Mansfield is more than $500. However, the fee for Victorian residents to sign up for Ambulance insurance can be as little as $46 for a single membership (12 months).
